Kaspar Joseph Mertz´s life and lifework

This work focuses on the life and creative work of one of the foremost guitar composers in the romantic period and the winner of the first international guitar competition. The work focuses on the individual stages of Mertz's life, the character of the work, the concert performances, views of its members, his achievements and an overview of the work. The aim of the work is also to show the importance of Mertz's music and the benefits it has for the guitar today. The work also includes memoirs of the Russian tune, guitarist and organizer of the first international guitar contest of Nikolaj Petrović Makarov, who spent his whole life with the best guitarists and composers of the 19th century. Mertz was the best composer he had met. In these memoirs, we can learn about the character of Mertz's work, his personality and his significance. The last part of the work concentrates on an overview of Mertz's work, the character and the interpretation of his compositions
