This thesis deals with the topic of legislation and possibilities of outpatient care for preschool children in centers of educational care. The thesis is primarily theoretical. It defines the basic legal norms and regulations that are based on the centers of educational care. Furthermore, the operation of centers of educational care, its mission, objectives, forms and scope of activities and basic areas of education. The practical part is devoted to the possibilities of care of the center of educational care for children of preschool age, both individual and preventive group. Part of the thesis is a case study of a preschool child, who the center of educational care takes care of. The aim of the thesis is to find out how the outpatient center of educational care works, what its legal bases are and how it cares about preschool children
