Analysis of Employment and Unmployment in Ústí nad Labem Region compared to the Czech Republic in 2007 - 2015

The thesis deals with the issue of employment and unemployment, including its socio- economic aspects in the Ústí nad Labem region compared to the Czech Republic between years 2007 and 2015. The theoretical part describes the nature of unemployment (breakdowns, causes, impacts, unemployment solution) including the impact of macroeconomic indicators, fiscal and monetary policies, with particular respect to active employment policy. The practical part includes the analysis of the Ústí nad Labem Region itself and its employment and unemployment, taking into account the benchmark of the Czech Republic with a polemic on the effectiveness of employment policy and its settings. The thesis implements the SWOT analysis of the Ústí nad Labem Region, which describes weaknesses and strengths and identifies individual opportunities and threats.
