Making a historical map set of battle at Chlumec 1813

Goal of this thesis is to make map set of battle at Chlumec (near Ústí nad Labem), where Napoleon's general Vandamme was defeated by retreating coalition armies at the end of August 1813. Main data source are old map of battle at Chlumec, gained from Map repository of Charles University, and layer of contour line from ZABAGED. After evaluating methods of making historic maps process for making maps of battles is designed. Several maps of the course of battle are made where only position of soldiers in time is different and also several maps of some commanders' views in particular moments of battle are made. Based on the finished maps evaluation and discussion are made, if battle could end otherwise or why it took place the way how we know it
