Comparison of the UN and EU development policy: the case of poverty reduction policies

This bachelor thesis deals with the UN and the EU models of development cooperation, with emphasis on helping to overcome poverty. It focuses on several aspects: historical development, institutional framework, and management of development aid. It attempts to clarify what the extreme poverty is, how development policy criteria were formed, and how the intensity of the aid has changed. Most importantly is to answer the question, whether regarding development policies of these two huge international actors we could speak of social justice.
