Spanish Scalar Verbal Periphrases and their equivalents in Czech

This thesis deals with Spanish verbal scalar periphrases and their equivalents in Czech. It is divided into two parts, theoretical and practical. In the theoretical part, first I define the concept of verbal periphrase from the viewpoint of various authors of grammar books and then I try to bring this situation closer to the Czech language. At the end of this part I characterize the selected scalar verbal periphrases with which I will continue to work. In the practical part, I first analyze the frequency of occurrence of the periphrases and Spanish verbs with which they are most often connected. This analysis is done using the corpus CORPES XXI. Then I focus on possible translations of these periphrases into Czech by using the parallel corpus InterCorp. Key words scalar verbal periphrasis, Spanish, Czech, corpus InterCor
