International audienceFor a long time, most Bell Beaker remains were discovered in funerary contexts, leading to very specific interpretations of this phenomenon, whether in the context of the first historical-cultural hypotheses or later in the New Archeology. Although Bell Beaker habitations remained rare and relatively unknown until the 1980s, the development of excavations and preventive excavations in particular, made it possible to recognize Bell Beaker remains in a domestic context in many regions.
