DREAM-SPACE is a series of sculptures that were developed in collaboration with local residents. It features local people of all ages talking about memories and ideas concerning the Night Sky, and illuminated star maps depicting the stars above London at different times of the year. The oval pictures around the outside of the columns were produced by local schoolchildren.It is a development of the ‘Local Stars’ series, originally commissioned in 2004 by SPACE-PLACE, a London-based arts organization, in consultation with London Borough of Tower Hamlets and local resident organisations.
