Structure cristalline du polyphosphate de cadmium Cd(PO3)2

Cadmium polyphosphate Cd (PO₃)₂ crystallizes in the space group Pbca with eight formula-units in a cell of : a = 9.61 Å b = 13.70, c = 7.04. (PO₃)∞ chains are of a new type with a period of four tetraedra. They spiral around the 2₁ axes in the ⃗c direction. The atomic parameters and main geometrical features of the chain are given. Mercury polyphosphate Hg (PO₃)₂ is isomorphous.Le polyphosphate de cadmium Cd (PO₃)₂ cristallise avec une maille orthorhombique : a = 9,61, b = 13,70, c = 7,04 Å renfermant huit unités moléculaires. Le groupe spatial est Pbca. Les chaînes (PO₃)∞ sont d'un type nouveau, leur période est de quatre tétraèdres. Elles se développent parallèlement à la direction ⃗c en s'enroulant autour des axes 2₁. On donne les positions atomiques et les principales caractéristiques géométriques des chaînes.
