The fauna associed with a Aterian remains of El Harhoura 1 (Morocco) : hunting strategy. The fauna of El Harhoura 1 Aterian cave at Témara in Morocco is rich in species and in number of individuals. The diversity of the fauna shows the existence of a varied environment in this region, and the association of the species fond on the site are characteristic of the fauna of the end Pleistocene (isotopic stage 3). In all archeological levels the number of remains of certain species, notably the gazelles, are highly abundant. Therefore it could reveal a strategy of selective hunting following the size of the ani¬ mals, as adopted by prehistoric men.
