Planktonic foraminifera and calcareous nannofossils assemblages for some borings in the Cap Vert area (Senegal) allow to recognize parts of Paleocene and Early Eocene. In Diam Niadio boring nannofossils zones NP 11 and NP 12 are correlated with Morozovella subbotinae and Morozovella formosa formosa planktonic foraminifera zones.
