This article present a historical explanation for the different groups of Spanish immigrants in America, understanding this as a response to a lack of balance and other necessities in the emigration. For this discussion the author uses a systematic analysis of the in¬ tentions, achievements and special circumstances of the different kinds of associations. With this analytical framework as a reference point large process generates society-models : welfare society (charity or social service), mutual help, entertainment, education, districts for the protection of the home-town , etc. which came to have great social importance in Spanish communities and spread throughout Countries and territories from the old Spanish colonies in the American continent, with special effects is Argentine, Cuba and Brazil.
