South-North Migration and Trade : A Survey This paper provides a survey of the literature on South-North migration and trade. The first part examines positive aspects of the relationship between migration and trade, such as whether trade liberalization in the South or North reduces or raises migration flows (i.e., whether trade and migration are substitutes or complements). The second part examines welfare implications of migration for the South, the North and for the migrants. This is also analyzed in the case of fiscal externalities associated with income taxation and provision of public services, and in the case of externalities associated with human capital (the brain drain) and social capital.Cet article présente une revue de la litté...
