The Hong Kong Convention for the Safe and Environmentally Sound Recycling of Ships of 15 March 2009. The IMO Hong Kong Convention represents a major achievement for the international community ; this Convention establishes at global level mandatory requirements to ensure the safe and environmentally sound recycling of ships in an efficient and effective way.
