Factor analyses on the mineralogical and geochemical datas from 739 samples representative of the whole package of the phosphorite series of the Ganntour Basin point out two chief factors : one axis is detrital-chemical and a second axis is dolomitization-phosphatization. Step by step analysis has been carried out along these two variables with the help of CaO and P -O-in terms of which the quantitative variations of the minerals and chemical elements have been studied.
