Distribution of some minor elements in aluminium phosphate zones of Christmas island (Indian Ocean) and Kurlan area of Belka deposit (USSR) has been studied. Three mineral facies are distinguished in the studied section of Christmas island : limestone, calcium phosphate, aluminium phosphate. At the Kurlan area of Belka deposit, the material of the calcium phosphate zone and aluminium phosphate zone was studied. The concentrations of the following elements were determined : Sc, Cr, Co, Zn, Sr, Y, Zr, Ba, and some rare earths. The concentration of these elements in aluminium phosphate zones are higher than in calcium phosphate zones.
