Quelques cas d'interaction et d'échanges entre formations acides et formations basiques dans les zones profondes

From major-element chemical data, the principal acid-basic plutonic associations of the Variscan Orogenic Belt can be divided into a calc-alkaline (granodioritic) type and a sub-alkaline (monzonitic) type. In the calc-alkaline type, mantle-derived basic magmas have interfered with crustal anatectic acid magmas in the catazone. Commonly the former magmas have an Al-and Ferich character not favouring miscibility, i.e. hybridization between basic and acid magmas. However, an example where hybridization has been important is described (Cauterets Pluton, Pyrenees) associated with Al and Mg-rich basic magmatism. In the sub -alkaline type, mantle-derived basic magmas have not interfered with a large crustal anatexis, either in space or in time. This anatexishas affected only the immediate vicinity of the rising mafic intrusions. Commonly, the basic and acid compositions favour their miscibility, i.e. mutual contamination. However, an example of immiscibility has been described (Villaviciosa de Cordoba, Spain) associated with Fe-rich basic magmatism. In immiscible magmatic mixing, transfer of material through the interfaces between melts may be important, as is shown by the composition of dark fine-grained enclaves in granitoids. Moreover, mafic intrusions reaching the mesozonal to epizonal level develop contact metamorphism, without inducing local anatexis, but with marked chemical fractionation. The silico-potassic material thus extracted from hornfelsed schists is incorporated into the magma, modifying its composition and its later evolution by crystal fractionation. These various mechanisms of interaction and exchange are not insignificant and need to be taken into account when formulating general models of orogenic plutonism.D'après les données chimiques, les principales associations plutoniques acides - basiques de l'orogène varisque se distribuent entre un type calco-alcalin (granodioritique ) et un type sub-alcalin (monzonitique). Dans le type calco-alcalin, des magmas basiques mantelliques interfèrent dans la catazone avec des magmas anatectiques crustaux. Habituellement, les premiers ont un caractère alumino-ferrifère défavorable à la miscibilité, donc à l'hybridation entre magmas basique et acide. Un cas de large hybridation est cependant décrit (massif de Cauterets), en liaison avec un magmatisme basique alumino-magnésien. Dans le type sub-alcalin , les magmas basiques mantelliques n'interfèrent plus, ni dans le temps ni dans l'espace, avec une large anatexie crustale. Celle-ci n'affecte que le proche voisinage des intrusions basiques. Habituellement, les compositions basiques et acides se prêtent à la miscibilité, donc à la contamination. Un cas d'immiscibilité est cependant décrit (massif de Villaviciosa de Cordoba), en liaison avec un magmatisme basique ferrifère. Dans les mélanges magmatiques immiscibles, les échanges aux interfaces peuvent prendre un certain développement, comme le montrent les particularités de composition des enclaves microgrenues sombres des granitoides. Par ailleurs, les intrusions basiques parvenant au niveau mésozonal à épizonal développent à leur contact un métamorphisme de l'encaissant, sans anatexie mais non sans fractionnement chimique bien marqué. Le matériel silico-potassique ainsi extrait de schistes cornéifiés est incorporé au magma, modifiant sa composition et son évolution par cristallisation fractionnée. Ces différents mécanismes d'interaction et d'échanges sont loin d'être négligeables pour la compréhension et la modélisation du plutonisme orogénique.de la Roche Hubert.
