New sequential interpretation of Oligocene and Miocene (Central and Northeast of Tunisia) Sedimentological and sequence stratigraphie study of Oligocene to Langhian deposits represented by Fortuna (Oligocene to Aquitanian), Messiouta (Aquitanian), Grijima (Upper Burdigalian), Oued el Hammam (Lower Langhian) and Aïn Grab (Upper Langhian) formations shows the following results : Three major eustatic lowering of sea level have marked the tunisian platform during the Oligocene to Langhian times. The first one, between Rupelian and Chattian times, is characterized by the installation of a lagoonal domain followed by important detrital discharges. The second, in upper Aquitanian, induces the exundation of the platform and the installation of strongly erosional fluvial channels. The third one, at the top of Burdigalian, is similar to the last one, with a base level fall causing regional gullyings. Three important flooding periods : the first one during Rupelian time which induces rétrogradations of the detrital supply provided by the erosion of the highland located to the West and the South-West. The second during Burdigalian time, overtaken southeastward by the Langhian sea. This observation is in agreement with the HaQ et al. (1988) chart which exhibits a global sea level rise between maximum flooding periods of Burdigalian and Langhian.L'étude sédimentologique et séquentielle des dépôts allant du Rupélien au Langhien représentés par les formations Fortuna (Oligocène à Aquitanien), Messiouta (Aquitanien), Grijima (Burdigalien supérieur), Oued el Hammam (Langhien inférieur) et Aïn Grab (Langhien supérieur) apportent les résultats suivants : Trois baisses eustatiques importantes ont marqué la plate-forme tunisienne durant l'Oligocène-Miocène moyen. La première, entre le Rupélien et le Chattien (30 Ma), se caractérise par l'installation d'un domaine margino-littoral suivie de décharges détritiques importantes ; la seconde, à l'Aquitanien supérieur, favorise l'installation de chenaux puissants et extrêmement ravinants ; la troisième, au Burdigalien sommital (16,5 Ma), est comparable à la précédente et abaisse le niveau de base des rivières en induisant un ravinement régional. Trois inondations marines importantes : la première au Rupélien induit des rétrogradations et freine les apports détritiques venant du continent situé à l'W et au SW. La seconde au Burdigalien (maximum à 18,5 Ma). La troisième au Langhien (maximum à 16 Ma) où l'avancée de la mer a légèrement dépassé, vers le SE, la limite antérieure de la mer burdigalienne. Ces observations sont en accord avec la charte globale de H.\Q et al. (1988), où le niveau moyen des océans a augmenté de quelques mètres entre les périodes d'inondations maximales du Burdigalien et du Langhien.Yaich Chokri, Ben Ismail Kmar, Zaghbib-Turki Dalila, Moncef Turki Mohamed.
