Rarely documented in recent excavations on the ancient city of Forum Iulii (Fréjus), several African amphorae corresponding to the type Ostia XXIII, well preserved, were discovered during the rescue excavation of the ‘ École des Poiriers’ site. They were involved with a serie of other African amphorae in a drainage system built in the second half of the IInd c. AD.
