Kathleen Adams has been Secretary of the Fellowship since 1968. She initiated the Review in 1970, was editor until 1981 and co-editor 1982-91. She published Those of Us Who Loved Her in 1980 and A Community of Interest: The Story of the George Eliot Fellowship 1930-2000 in 2000. Rosemary Ashton is Quain Professor of English Language and Literature at University College London. She is the author of acclaimed critical biographies of George Eliot (1996) and G. H. Lewes (1991). Her many publications on George Eliot include The Mill on the Floss: A Natural History (1990), and editions of Middlemarch (Penguin, 1994) and Selected Writings ofGeorge Eliot (World\u27s Classics, 1992). Rosemarie Bodenheimer is Professor of English at Boston College, Massachusetts. She is the author of The Politics of Story in Victorian Fiction; The Real Life of Mary Ann Evans: George Eliot, Her Letters and Fiction (1994); and Knowing Dickens (forthcoming in 2007). Beryl Gray is co-editor of the Review, the author of George Eliot and Music and of numerous articles on the novelist, and she has edited The Mill on the Floss for Everyman Paperbacks. She is currently working on a book-length study of the dog in Victorian literature. Graham Handley is the author of George Eliot\u27s Midlands (1991) and Trollope the Traveller (1993) and has edited several of George Eliot\u27s novels, including the George Eliot Fellowship edition of Scenes of Clerical Life, published by Wordsworth (2006), and the Clarendon edition of Daniel Deronda (1984). Margaret Harris is Challis Professor of English at the University of Sydney. She has edited, with Judith Johnston, The Journals of George Eliot (1998) and the Everyman Paperback Middlemarch (1997), and is currently working on a study of The Lives of George Eliot\u27
