All the Girls Shout Please is a manuscript of poems that addresses misconceptions about girls and girls\u27 lives. The poems specifically examine American girlhood, including my own, and span the late 19th century to present day. Featured in the manuscript is a series of persona poems based on the childhood experiences of Margaret Sanger, Coretta Scott King, Courtney Love, and other women. The second section in the three-section manuscript comprises poems about my present-day interactions with girls and how I contribute to their cultural visibility or invisibility.
