This paper considers the species composition of the duck kill in each State as determined by the Duck Wing Collection Surveys during 1962-63 and 1963-64 hunting seasons. Two-thirds of the annual kill was made up of mallards, black ducks, pintails, wood ducks, and green-winged teal. Mallards were the most common species taken in all Flyways except the Atlantic where the black duck was most abundant
