This work aims to convert 2 and 3-D Finite Element Method (FEM) meshesinto a reluctance networks through an original magnetostatic formulation based on facet shape functions, which are used to interpolate the magnetic induction. This network is coupled with a standard reluctance network (RNM -Reluctance Network Method), characterizing a 0-D system that can be solved by a circuit solver approach. In this way, the FEM and RNM are coupled, taking advantage of specific potentialities of both sides, i.e. the regions of the domain where the magnetic behavior is known can be simplified using the RNM and those more complex regions can be meshed properly and solved in the same system. The results obtained are compared between them and with results o...
