The history of sociology as the separate, specialized discipline, dedicated to the research and interpretations of a society, consists of two essential lines of inquiry: one on basic theories and the other on empirical results and their consequent practical applications. The first line of inquiry is created by the variety of ideas that are defined by the one decisive characteristic: they all try to explain how the society or its elements function and how to understand social phenomena and processes. The other line consists of concrete studies and data that provide concrete pictures of social phenomena. Together these lines of inquiry generate potential implications for practical steps.Udostępnienie publikacji Wydawnictwa Uniwersytetu Łódzki...
