International audienceThe use of pesticides for pest control impacts on ecosystems, affecting directly or indirectly non-target organisms such as spiders. How they respond in the face of xenobiotics depends, among other factors, on their energetic state, which is a reflection of their metabolic state. In the present work we assess the energetic state of Polybetes pythagoricus in different metabolic situations (females before and after vitellogenesis, juvenile, and adult males), and how cypermethrin affects mortality, the enzyme activity of the antioxidant system, and lipid peroxidation.
