The overall goal of this Ph.D. thesis is to perform an analysis of the Fairtrade system - the most widely recognized ethical label globally \u2013 that encompasses both consumption and production of certified products. There is a vast and heterogeneous scientific literature concerning the Fairtrade system, which has been the subject of studies in different fields, with different approaches and goals.
