Reported speech is a very complex textual sphere. Reported speech refers to other linguistic acts or other communicative situations and can convey their subject. The difference in the two communicative situations must be recognisable in at least one feature (not here -not me -not now ). The first part of the article describes the corpus, which was used to make the comparative analysis. The corpus consists of exams that were written by Italian students who study German. In this corpus all linguistic forms that make up reported speech have been examined. Using the root that I analysed, I have tried to define a typology of the various forms of reported speech represented in interlanguages. Distinctive features for this typology are syntactic, ...
