Objectives: To show a clinical case in which impacted upper third molars caused resorption of the adjacent second molars root. Case report: A 26 year-old woman presented bilateral resorption of upper second molars caused by impacted third molars. Conclusions: Resorption of the second molars in the case presented could be avoided by preventive extraction of the upper third molars. Clinical significance: Resorption of upper second molars must be considered examining carefully in early stages the position of the third molars in the radiographies
