Progesterone Receptor Membrane Component-1 (PGRMC1) is expressed in bovine granulosa cells (bGC) during all folliculogenesis stages. Many experimental evidences in rat and human ovarian cell lines indicate that the mechanisms of action through which PGRMC1 regulates cell proliferation include a direct function during the mitotic (M) phase of the cell cycle.
