The article proposes a learning path (for students of high schools\u2019 last courses and early university years) on the manuscript A 220 inf. of the Biblioteca Ambrosiana. This codex is a typical product of the carolingian age, and is useful to show some aspects of this cultural world. It was probabily written in Saint-Denis about 810-830, then past to Reichenau, Sankt Gallen and Engelberg, and was acquired by Federico Borromeo for the Biblioteca Ambrosiana in 1604. It contains Flavius Josephus\u2019 Antiquitates Iudaicae (books XVII-XX), a wind table on Isidorian pattern, a fragment of a carolingian capitular, and some interesting notes related to the writing praxis
