The great diffusion of techniques relating to high-throughput analysis, as well as the availability of a complete and high quality draft of the genome sequence of Vitis vinifera, allowed to deepen the knowledge of grape berry development, necessary assumption in order to satisfy the new and exigent market claims on product quality. Through recent transcriptomic and proleomic studies it was shown that the impact of many sources of variability (e.g. genetical and environmental) during grape development was underrated, leading to badly generalize the results.
