Severely resorbed edentulous ridges represent a challenge for implant-supported dental restorations, both from an esthetic and functional point of view, due to the lack of alveolar bone and unfavorable local conditions which may compromise the final outcome of rehabilitation, such as unfavorable intermaxillary relationship, lack of attached gengiva, excetera.
