The paper focuses on two manuscripts , containing the Virgilian cento of the Christian poetess Proba (4th century), endowed with a corpus of marginal scholia.The author examines both \u2018paratextual\u2019 and 'textual' elements, which suggest that the two manuscripts derive from a common antigraph. They are both school miscellanies. The latter must be probably connected to the teaching activity of Bartolino Valvassori from Lodi, doctor of grammar and rhetoric at the Studium Bononiense in 1405-1406
