Documenta antiquitatis

This book collects the written versions of the "seminari", taht is to say papers which were delivered in the year 2009 by professors and young scholars of the Department of Classics of the Universit\ue0 degli Studi di Milano on topics that have a close relationship with the main research fields of the Department. Covered areas are classical philology (bucolic poetry in Nero's age, textual tradition of Aristophanes' Plutus), ancient history (political fight in Rome during Domitian's reign, the foreign policy of Periander of Corinth), papirology (the biblion in John's Apocalypse), archaeology (new excavations in Palmyra and Calvatone), egyptology (the cooperation between Egyptian institutions and the University of Milan)
