The proper design of the analysis model is becoming more and more important in modern high energy physics experiments. The increase of the amount of data accumulated by running experiments made physicists more sensitive to the issues connected to data access and procedures for the analysis. In this short paper the common probblems and the relative solutions adopted by running experiments are briefly presented. Finally in the light of the accumulated experience, the analysis models of ATLAS and CMS are critically discusse
