The aim of the present study was the evaluation of PGF 2α plasmatic and seminal concentrations during mating in the stallion, to improve the knowledge concerning the role played by this hormone in some mechanisms of male reproductive function. The study was performed on 21 stallions: the reaction time and the main seminal parameters were ascertained, and the 15-ketodihydro-PGF2α plasmatic (10 minutes before, at erection and 10 minutes after mating) and seminal concentrations were evaluated.
