Breast-conserving treatment is considered the standard therapy for most early-stage breast cancer and has given excellent results. That notwithstanding in the last years, several institutions are trying to revisit the adjuvant radiation treatment setting, especially with respect to possible changes in overall treatment time and target volume within the philosophy of modern partial breast irradiation.
