Comunicación presentada a las XXXIX Jornadas de Automática, celebradas en Badajoz del 5 al 7 de Septiembre de 2018 y organizada por la Universidad de Extremadura.El objetivo de este trabajo es presentar el iObserver: un dispositivo electrónico diseñado para: identificar las especies de peces que aparecen en la captura de los barcos comerciales, estimar la longitud de cada individuo, y cuantificar la biomasa por especie. Dicho dispositivo realiza de forma automática la adquisición de imágenes durante el transcurso del triado (tarea en la que se separan los peces por especies).
