International audienceThe NW sector of Mauritania represents the Archean province of the Reguibat Ridge. It is mainlycomposed of the typical Archaean cratonic association of granitoid gneisses, greenstones belts andgranites. The greenstone belts contain high mineral potential, mainly gold.
