International audienceIn this workshop, we focus on the formative function of assessment using both tools from researches of the field of assessment and of didactics of mathematics. We study the formative aspect of interactions between a teacher and his/her students when they are solving a mathematics problem. We deal with three phases of teaching: a pooling phase following the resolution, a research phase during the resolution, and a peer review phase with a debate after the resolution. In these phases of teaching, assessment is at the heart of interactions either by a device itself or informally.
