Patterns of relativization in North Asia: towards a refined typology of prenominal participial relative clauses

International audienceThis paper aims at investigating the variation in relative clause constructions found in selected languages of northern Eurasia (cf. Map 1), focusing on prenominal participial strategies. As will be shown, these constructions are more varied than would appear from the simple descriptions often given. Therefore, one goal of the paper is to provide a more refined typology of such prenominal relative clauses
