International audienceThis article addresses the emergence of legal FASP (profession-based fiction) in Spain in the 21st century which gained visibility with the creation of the “Premio Abogados de Novela” prize (Lawyer Novel Prize) in 2010. After an introduction to the FASP genre as defined by Michel Petit and Shaeda Isani, the pioneering researchers in this field of LSP research, we highlight the particularities of Spanish legal FASP, looking at the aspects of specialized language and culture, as well as its characteristics as a hybrid genre.
