This paper investigates the goodness of the measure of organizational citizenship behaviour in terms of reliability and validity. Organizational Citizenship Behaviour considers as the extra role or voluntary behaviour not directly or explicitly recognized by the formal reward system, and that in the aggregate it promotes the effective functioning of the organization. However, more research studies on OCB focus on western context while similar effort in Sri Lankan context rather scant.
