Análisis de factores de confort acústico y su relación con variables de ventilación de entrada en aulas de instituciones educativas ubicadas en ciudades de clima tropical (caso de estudio Medellín)

The following research framed within the research project "Identification of factors of environmental performance (acoustic, thermal and visual) determinants of the mental health of teachers and students of public schools in Bogotá, Medellín and Cali, evaluates some variables of the current conditions of acoustic comfort and ventilation that public educational institutions of Medellin and the impact of ventilation on acoustic comfort. The analysis starts from the question that arises, before the educational buildings developed after the year 2000, year in which the Colombian Technical Norm NTC4595 "Approach and design of school facilities and environments" was published. It becomes relevant in this investigation to know the conditions of comfort in the educational classrooms and to evaluate the adoption of its content by the construction sector. The methodology used for this research, takes as sample 3 educational institutions, in which 7 classrooms were measured, from each classroom the building, geographical, acoustic information and the typology of the openings used for natural ventilation were raised. In addition, other quantitative variables that could help to clarify the results as they were (internal temperature, internal air velocity at the entrance of the opening, relative humidity and atmospheric pressure). In the analysis of results, it was found that a large percentage of the classrooms comply with the ventilation parameters established by NTC4595 (effective area of ventilation and height); but, they overcome the acoustic variables (background noise, reverberation time and transmission loss).La siguiente investigación enmarcada dentro del proyecto de investigación Identificación de factores de desempeño ambiental (acústico, térmico y visual) determinantes de la salud mental de docentes y estudiantes de escuelas públicas de Bogotá, Medellín y Cali, evalúa algunas variables de las condiciones actuales de confort acústico y de ventilación que poseen las instituciones educativas (IE) públicas de Medellín y el impacto de la ventilación sobre el confort acústico. El análisis parte del interrogante que se suscita, ante las edificaciones educativas desarrolladas después del año 2000, año en que se publicó la Norma Técnica Colombiana NTC4595 “Planteamiento y diseño de instalaciones y ambientes escolares”. Se hace relevante en esta investigación conocer las condiciones de confort en las aulas educativas y evaluar la adopción de su contenido por parte del sector constructivo. La metodología utilizada para esta investigación, toma como muestra tres IE, en las cuales se midieron 7 aulas, de cada aula se levantó la información edilicia, geográfica, acústica y la tipología de las aberturas utilizadas para la ventilación natural. Además, de otras variables cuantitativas que pudieran ayudar a clarificar los resultados como lo fueron (Temperatura interior, velocidad interna del aire a la entrada de la abertura, humedad relativa y presión atmosférica). En el análisis de resultados se encontró que gran porcentaje de las aulas cumplen con los parámetros de ventilación establecidos por la NTC4595 (área efectiva de ventilación y altura); pero, superan las variables acústicas (ruido de fondo, tiempo de reverberación y pérdida por transmisión
