Estrategias de afrontamiento en pacientes con enfermedades neurológicas crónicas

Coping strategies have been a concept that has been worked on and developed since the middle of the last century and which aims to explain and understand the ways in which the organism and the individual react to external stressors through the management of emotions; For the interests of this research work will be focused on identifying coping strategies in patients with chronic neurological diseases such as Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, Epilepsy and Multiple Sclerosis, these pathologies being the external stressors to be faced by the individual. Objective: to identify coping strategies in patients with chronic neurological diseases. Method: To achieve the objective of this research, case studies of three female patients were conducted, with which semi-structured interviews were conducted in order to explore their experiences with the disease and the application of the psychometric test. Coping Inventory for Adults , proposed by Moos (2010). Results: the information was analyzed from a mixed cut (qualitative and quantitative type).Las estrategias de afrontamiento han sido un concepto que se ha trabajado y desarrollado desde mediados del siglo pasado y el cual pretende explicar y comprender las formas como el organismo y el individuo reaccionan ante estresores externos por medio del manejo de las emociones; para los intereses de esta investigación se trabajará en identificar las estrategias de afrontamiento en pacientes con enfermedades neurológicas crónicas (ENC), Alzheimer, Parkinson, Epilepsia y Esclerosis Múltiple, siendo estas patologías los estresores externos a afrontar por el individuo. Objetivo: identificar las estrategias de afrontamiento en pacientes con enfermedades neurológicas crónicas. Método: Para conseguir el objetivo de esta investigación se realizaron estudios de casos de tres pacientes mujeres, con los que se hicieron entrevistas semiestructuradas con el fin de explorar sus vivencias frente a la enfermedad y la aplicación de la prueba psicotécnica Inventario de Afrontamiento para Adultos “CRI.A”, planteado por Moos (2010). Resultados: la información se analizó desde un corte mixto (tipo cualitativo y cuantitativo)
