Significados del tratamiento penitenciario: posibilidades que brinda al proceso de integración social

In this research, the main objective is analyze how contributes at the social integration process, the meaning of penitentiary treatment eight murderers imprison, in the Establecimiento Penitenciario de Mediana Seguridad y Carcelario de Cali. It’s a study of qualitative approach and descriptive type. This research counted with a group of eight offenders sentenced for aggravated homicide and two psychologist, them, orient programmer in the penitentiary treatment, where they made two interviews and one respectively , them the obtained information was encoded for the next categories: Penitentiary treatment, Social integration and meanings, where they appeared analysis’s subcategories. The experiences and practices that the participating have inside the penitentiary treatment, created the different meanings and these affect so positive or negative to the social integration of they. The conclusion is that the penitentiary treatment can contribute to the incorporation, of knowledges and new concepts to the participating murderers; with these it will hope reach a change, directed to the social integration.En esta investigación se pretendió como objetivo principal, analizar que significados tienen del tratamiento penitenciario ocho homicidas recluidos en el Establecimiento Penitenciario de Mediana Seguridad y Carcelario de Cali (EPMSC) y las posibilidades que podría brindar al proceso de integración social. Es un estudio de enfoque cualitativo de tipo descriptivo. Se contó cómo participantes con ocho infractores condenados por homicidio agravado y dos profesionales de psicología quienes orientan programas dentro del tratamiento, a los participantes se les realizaron dos y una entrevista semiestructurada respectivamente. Posterior a la realización de las entrevistas la información obtenida se codificó y se categorizó en: Tratamiento penitenciario, integración social y significados, en las cuales surgieron subcategorías de análisis. En los resultados se obtuvo que las experiencias y prácticas que los participantes tienen dentro del tratamiento penitenciario, crean los diferentes significados los cuales pueden influir de manera positiva o negativa a la integración social de éstos mismos, dependiendo de cómo hayan desarrollado estos dos aspectos dentro de la correccional. Como conclusión final se plantea que el tratamiento penitenciario de alguna manera contribuye a incorporar en los homicidas conocimientos y conceptos nuevos los cuales pueden pretender alcanzar un cambio dirigido a la integración social
