Bei den DLBCL lassen sich mit Hilfe von Genexpressionsanalysen zwei grosse Gruppen unterscheiden: Der GCB- und der ABC-ähnliche DLBCL-Typ. In der vorliegenden Arbeit konnten die drei Modellzelllinien DB, SUDHL-4 und DOHH-2 aufgrund fehlender Zyklin D2 Expression und fehlender konstitutiver NF-κB Aktivität dem GCB-Typ zugeordnet werden. Nachgewiesen wurde der antiproliferative Effekt der beiden Immunsuppressiva Rapamycin und RAD001 auf die drei Zelllinien. Das Makrolidantibiotikum Rapamycin und sein oral verfügbares Derivat RAD001 hemmen mTOR, das bedeutende Signalwege der Zellaktivierung und Zellproliferation reguliert.
