Introduction: The number of infertile couples in the world increases 2 million every year. 35-40% are men. 245 infertile couples in Palembang, male factor 48.4%. One of the causes of infertility is hormonal disorders such as decreased testosterone. Decreased testosterone leads to impaired spermatogenesis process. Java Cabe (Piper retrofractum Vahl.) Is a native plant in Indonesia that contains Piperin, essential oils, water, and alkaloid materials that have the effect of increasing metabolism in the body. Objective: to know the effect of Java Cabe extract (Piper retrofractum Vahl.) On testicular histology and spermatogenesis process.
