New methods for energy generation based on the ambient energy harvesting are required for autonomous sensors development and their applications in the “smart-cities”. In this context, N-air-J project aims to realize micro-generators based on flexible piezoelectric films, able to harvest energy from the breeze. The work presented in this thesis is about the deposition of lead zirconate titanate (PZT) thin layer on aluminium thin foil. Structural, dielectric, ferroelectric and piezoelectric characterizations were realized. The generator optimization is focused on the PZT transfer from aluminium to polymer substrate.
