International audienceThe archaeological excavation of the site "la Côte" in Contrexéville, led in 1988 by Le Cercle d’études locales de Contrexéville, revealed some of the vestiges of a rural settlement and in particular a cellar burnt down between the end of the 2nd c. and the first third of the 3rd c. AD. The fire sealed a set of pottery, as well as stone and iron tools, including a complete harrow.
